Djiby NDIAYE was born on 05/01/1961 in Linguère, Senegal. After graduating as a design engineer in electro-mechanical engineering at the Ecole Polytechnique de Thiès in 1987, he began his professional career at the Open Research Office of Professional Engineering/Africa-Europe. In 1991, he became the head of technical services at the GBIF, an industrial maintenance, metal construction and building company and then Director of operations of the company SETIM Afrique S. A specialized in civil engineering in 1993. In July 1998, he embarked on entrepreneurship and took over the direction of the SERIC. In this capacity, he is responsible for supervising the commercial activities, the technical studies, the Organisation and the coordination of projects. From 2001, he joined the CESAG Group (African Centre for higher studies in management) where he held until 2012, the posts of deputy Director in charge of Heritage, deputy Director of heritage, human resources and supplies and then Director of General Services. In 2004, he won a diploma in Higher Education (DESS) in Administration and business management. He is currently appointed Director General of the ANER (National Agency for Renewable Energies) whose main mission is to promote the use of renewable energies, including bioenergy, in all sectors of activities, a position he has held since November 01, 2012. In parallel, he is a member of the Municipal Council of Linguère where he holds the position of Chairman of the Commission of decentralised cooperation.
