Ayo Ademilua (MBA) : He is the CEO of A4&T Power Solutions, a renewable energy development company providing access to electricity through SHS distribution and Minigrid development. He is a climate change awareness ambassador with a resilient passion towards partnerships that supports the SDG goals. His background is in Finance and Strategy, with specialization in organization strategy, growth planning and process re-engineering. He is the founder of A4&T and has been in the driving seat as MD/CEO leading the organization through different challenges and growth. Under his leadership, the organization won the USADF off-grid challenge in 2018, qualified as a grantee in the REA/World Bank NEP program in Nigeria as the first organization to qualify in the two categories for Solar Home Systems distribution and Mingrid development providing access to electricity across Nigeria, one of the seven qualified participants in GIZ/EU IMAS program focusing on delivering Interconnected minigrid in Nigeria.

Jules Samain joined GuarantCo in 2013 as Regional Director West & North Africa, managing origination and execution of transactions in the region. In June 2020, Jules became Managing Director of Africa and is based in London. Prior to joining GuarantCo, Jules was the Managing Director of Ecobank Capital for Central African Countries where he led major financings in the Oil & Gas, Power, Agriculture, Real Estate and Telecommunication sectors. Subsequently, he led the corporate banking business of leading regional lender BGFI Bank in Cameroon. Jules started his career with a Microfinance Institution in Cameroon before joining Ecobank Cameroon in 2004 to help the bank develop its corporate bank activities. Jules holds a Master in Business Law from the University of Yaounde (Cameroon) and a MBA from Cass Business School (City University of London).

GuarantCo mobilises private sector local currency investment for infrastructure projects and supports the development of financial markets in lower income countries across Africa and Asia. GuarantCo is part of the Private Infrastructure Development Group (PIDG) and is funded by the governments of the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Australia and Sweden, through the PIDG Trust, the Netherlands, through FMO and the PIDG Trust, and France through a stand-by facility. GuarantCo is rated AA- by Fitch and A1 by Moody’s. GuarantCo’s activities are managed by GuarantCo Management Company which is part of Cardano Development.

Jubril is the Co-founder at OneWattSolar, a clean-tech company in Africa.

Jubril is also the Co-founder/Managing Director at SMEFUNDS Capital Limited, where he led the consortium that set up the $100million Nigeria-Green Energy Fund programme that is backed by the African Guarantee Fund.

He has professional experience spanning over 14 years spanning entrepreneurship, enterprise development, disruptive innovations, and the Nigeria banking system covering project finance, corporate finance, SME banking, financial inclusion, audit and strategy planning. On need basis, he advises several multi-lateral development institutions on climate finance matters in line with the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) of different African countries under the Paris Agreement for Climate Change.

Jubril is a certified climate impact finance expert from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management. He holds a PhD in development finance and community development from the Da Vinci Institute for Technology Management; MSc. in Strategic Finance from Oxford Brookes University, United Kingdom; and BA. in Business Administration from the University of Hertfordshire.

He is a senior fellow at the Trans4m Center for Integral Development, Switzerland; a research associate at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa; the Strategic Advisor for Africa at Think Renewables Group Inc., Canada; a member of Faculty of Green Bond Course of the United Nations University – Ghana.

Dozie Okpalaobieri is the Energy Sector Policy and Regulations Specialist at the Nigeria Country Office of the African Development Bank. He is currently co-tasking managing the Nigeria Electrification Project, the Jigawa IPP Project and the Lagos Electricity Cooperative Project. He was previously the Senior Legal Advisor for the Power Africa Transactions and Reform Program (PATRP) in Nigeria, primarily providing policy support and advise to the Government of Nigeria on energy sector issues and industry restructuring. He has served as the Special Assistant on Energy to Nigeria’s former Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Minister of Finance. In this role, he set up the oil and gas division at the Ministry of Finance for the monitoring of oil and gas revenues, coordinated stakeholder management to drive reform in the power sector. As a Legal and Policy Adviser at the African Center for Economic Transformation in Ghana, he advised Governments in Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Mozambique on policy and legal issues in the extractive resources sector.

Dozie holds a Juris Doctor from the Northwestern University School of Law, a Masters in International Economics and Finance from Brandeis University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Northeastern University, both in Boston Massachusetts. He was the Editor-in-Chief of the Northwestern Journal of International Law and Business at Northwestern and is a member of the American Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, the Nigerian Bar Association and the Law Society of England and Wales. He loves travelling and reading.

Sous le parrainage du ministère du Pétrole, de l’Énergie et des Énergies Renouvelables – Côte d’Ivoire et avec le soutien des ministères de l’Énergie des États membres de la CEDEAO, le système d’Echanges d’Energie Electrique Ouest Africain (EEEOA) et Centre pour les Energies Renouvelables et l’Efficacité Energétique de la CEDEAO (CEREEC), Konect Group Ltd sont heureux de présenter la Conférence de Coopération dans le Domaine des Energies en Afrique de l’Ouest (WAPECC) qui se tiendra au Radisson Blu à Abidjan, en Côte d’Ivoire.

WAPECC est une plate-forme de référence régionale qui se déroulera chaque année avec pour objectif fondamental de promouvoir les ressources régionales et les plans stratégiques des gouvernements en matière de développement énergétique durable.

WAPECC se concentre sur les énergies, les infrastructures et le financement de projets, en s’attaquant aux principaux défis du marché de l’énergie et en ouvrant la voie aux investissements dans ce secteur pour que les entreprises et les marchés créent des emplois et stimulent les économies, tout en développant la coopération régionale et l’interconnectivité entre les pays membres de la Communauté économique des États de l’Afrique de l’Ouest (CEDEAO).
